American singer Chris Brown is facing fresh accusations of sexual assault in an upcoming documentary titled Chris Brown: A History of Violence. According to People magazine, the documentary sheds light on allegations that Brown assaulted a woman aboard a yacht owned by music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs in 2020.
People magazine reports that the documentary features statements from an anonymous woman, referred to as Jane Doe, who says, “Even coming forward as a Jane Doe, some people still found out who I was. Coming forward with this now, I just hope I can shed light on what really happened.” She disclosed that she received death threats after revealing her story.
The woman recounts traveling to Miami in 2020, where she was invited to Diddy’s yacht by a friend. She alleges that after meeting Brown, he offered her a drink, after which her memory became "foggy." She recalls, “I don’t remember if I saw him pour it, but I just drank it... As I’m standing there, I did start to feel tired and my body was feeling a little heavy.” Doe claims Brown then brought her to a bedroom, where she struggled to move and felt overwhelmed. She alleges that she told Brown "No" but was unable to stop the assault.
The documentary also includes comments from another woman, Liziane Gutierrez, who previously accused Brown of assaulting her in 2016. On Instagram, Gutierrez shared her reasons for participating in the documentary despite signing a non-disclosure agreement, stating, "I couldn’t pass on the opportunity to let people know what I went through and tell my side of the story... We can’t be against domestic violence and simply ignore some cases or, even worse, blame the victim.”
In Chris Brown: A History of Violence, Investigation Discovery delves into the history of allegations against Brown, including past incidents involving Rihanna and Karrueche Tran. However, Brown’s legal team has firmly denied Doe’s claims, calling the documentary’s allegations “malicious and false.”
The documentary is scheduled to air on October 27, promising a deeper examination of Brown’s controversial past and the stories of multiple women who have accused him of misconduct.
