Donald Trump has taken aim at former President Barack Obama for his recent campaign efforts in support of Vice President Kamala Harris. At a rally in Greensboro, North Carolina, Trump expressed his disdain for Obama’s involvement in the political campaign, labeling him a "real jerk" for his actions.
Trump's comments came after Obama made a surprise appearance at a Harris rally in Detroit, where he rapped Eminem's "Lose Yourself" in front of enthusiastic supporters. “I think he’s a real jerk because I watched him campaign over the last couple of days,” Trump remarked, criticizing Obama for being a divisive figure during his presidency.
The former president’s return to the campaign trail has drawn scrutiny from Trump, who alleged that Obama’s involvement signifies Harris’s lack of campaigning capability. “The reason they bring him out, and other people, is because no one goes to these rallies. They bring in these so-called stars to attract crowds,” Trump stated, asserting that the Democrats were relying on celebrity appearances to boost attendance.
Trump also claimed that Harris struggles to speak effectively, suggesting, “They bring him out because they need help because she cannot talk for more than 15 minutes.” The remarks highlight the ongoing tensions between Trump and the Democratic leadership as the campaign heats up.
