Funke Akindele, Mr Eazi Celebrate Nigeria's 64th Independence with Messages of Hope

Famous Nollywood actress Funke Akindele and singer Mr. Eazi took to social media to commemorate Nigeria's 64th Independence Day with uplifting messages, despite the country's ongoing economic challenges.

Funke Akindele, in an Instagram post, expressed her optimism for Nigeria's future. She wrote, "I pray that this country will be great, yes! We keep saying it will be great. It will be great because this is where I earn a living, this is where I am called ‘gbogbo bigs girl,' this is where I make all the money to afford all the designer bags and clothes, and this is where I empower many people. For me, I will not 'japa,' I will remain in Nigeria. Nigeria will get better."

She continued, "Happy Independence Day to my beloved Nigeria! We have weathered storms, but our spirit remains unbroken. I celebrate our resilience, creativity, and hope. Envisioning a Nigeria where dreams flourish, talents thrive, and opportunities abound. Let’s believe in a brighter tomorrow! #NigeriaAt64."

Similarly, singer Mr. Eazi shared his sentiments on X (formerly Twitter), stating, "Celebrating the strength, resilience, and energy of all citizens. Hoping for a greater future! #NigeriaIndependence."

Both stars highlighted the resilience and determination of Nigerians, joining many others in celebrating the country’s 64 years of independence with messages of hope for a brighter future.
