Nigerian singer Asake has come under fire on social media after smashing a fan's iPhone 16 Pro Max during a recent concert in Germany. The incident occurred when a fan attempted to take a picture with the star, only for Asake to snatch the phone and smash it to the ground, causing significant damage.
The fan, identified as Adeoti, shared a video of the altercation on social media. In the post, Adeoti captured the moment and expressed disappointment, saying, "You broke my iPhone 16 Pro Max. Just because you were upset inside the nightclub doesn’t mean you should react that way towards a fan. Anyway, I still love you."
The video quickly went viral, sparking outrage among social media users, many of whom criticized Asake for his aggressive behavior.
One user, @CuriousCourtnie, commented, “That was unnecessarily aggressive,” while @Tony_runthings advised, “Stop famzing all these celebrities, it’s not worth it.”
Another user, @joseph_adegoke, remarked, “He will definitely have to pay for what he broke,” and @CHINONSOWISDO13 added, “Forget it’s Asake, if it were me, there would have been consequences.”
Despite the widespread backlash, Asake has not yet addressed the incident or offered any public response as of the time of this report. The event has left many fans disappointed, calling into question the behavior of celebrities in public settings.
