Jay Cutler Arrested on DUI and Gun Charges in Tennessee

Former NFL quarterback and reality TV personality Jay Cutler was arrested on Thursday, October 17, in Franklin, Tennessee, after being charged with driving under the influence (DUI) and possession of a firearm.

The ex-Chicago Bears star, who gained fame alongside his ex-wife Kristin Cavallari on the reality show Very Cavallari, faces four charges: DUI, failure to exercise due care, violation of the implied consent law, and possession of a handgun while intoxicated. According to the Franklin Police Department, Cutler was booked into Williamson County Jail, where he appeared for his mugshot looking displeased. He was later released after posting a $5,000 bond.

Details regarding the circumstances of Cutler’s arrest remain unclear, and authorities have not yet disclosed further information about the incident. TMZ has contacted the police for additional comments.

Cutler was married to Cavallari for nearly ten years before their divorce was finalized in 2022. The couple shares three children: Camden, Jaxon, and Saylor, and they resided in Nashville during their marriage.

Throughout his 12-year NFL career, Cutler played for the Denver Broncos, Chicago Bears, and Miami Dolphins, retiring in 2017 after a brief period with the Dolphins, having spent several seasons as the starting quarterback for the Bears.
