Manchester City defender Kyle Walker is reportedly facing divorce proceedings initiated by his estranged wife, Annie Kilner, following a series of infidelity scandals. The couple, who tied the knot in 2021 after being childhood sweethearts, have been plagued by Walker’s extramarital affairs, including fathering two children with influencer Lauryn Goodman during brief flings.
Annie, 33, had initially forgiven Walker after his first affair but struggled to move past his second indiscretion, which came to light when she received a devastating text message on December 27, while pregnant with their fourth child. The message, from Goodman, confirmed that Walker was the father of her daughter, Kinara, who is now 1 year old.
Sources now claim that Annie has filed for divorce and is gearing up for a legal battle, potentially seeking half of Walker’s £27 million fortune. The pair, who met in school, are reportedly no longer on speaking terms, and Walker has also hired his own legal team. It’s believed that Walker was served the divorce papers 10 days ago, and the two have been sleeping separately, despite still living under the same roof.
A source told The Sun, “Kyle was stunned when he got the papers. He’s spoken to Annie, and they are discussing the next steps. This doesn’t necessarily mean they will divorce, but Annie wants Kyle to know she’s serious. However, if it’s a bluff, it may backfire.”
Another source close to Annie told MailOnline, "She is divorcing Kyle because she can’t forgive him. She has tried, but it’s too much. Kyle seems to have accepted it’s over and has been happier in recent days, like a weight has been lifted."
Despite the turmoil in his personal life, Walker was recently seen playing golf in Cheshire, seemingly unaffected by the ongoing situation. Walker has previously expressed regret over his affairs, admitting, “What I’ve done is horrible, and I take full responsibility. I made idiot choices.”
Walker and Goodman have also faced legal issues regarding the two children they share. However, Walker has emphasized his commitment to financially supporting Goodman’s children while attempting to work on his relationship with Annie, though the media scrutiny has made reconciliation difficult.
