New Rules for the 2024 Ballon d'Or Ceremony Announced by France Football

France Football, the organizer of the prestigious Ballon d'Or awards, is introducing a significant change to this year's ceremony. With just over two weeks remaining before the event on October 28, speculation is mounting about who will claim the coveted prize.

Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior is currently the frontrunner for the award, favored to win over competitors such as Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham, and Rodri. Vinicius played a pivotal role in Real Madrid's success last season, helping the team secure both the La Liga and Champions League titles.

However, according to Mario Cortegana, a correspondent for The Athletic, this year’s winner will experience a departure from tradition. Unlike previous years, where the winner would be interviewed by France Football prior to the ceremony, the 2024 Ballon d'Or recipient will not be informed of their victory until the envelope is opened live during the event. This shift is intended to enhance the suspense and excitement of the awards ceremony, ensuring that the winner's reaction is genuine and unprepared.

As the ceremony approaches, fans and pundits alike are eager to see if Vinicius Junior will take home the prestigious award, marking a milestone in his burgeoning career.
