Nigeria’s Wahid Enitan Oshodi Elected President of African Table Tennis Federation

In a significant achievement for Nigerian sports, Wahid Enitan Oshodi was elected as the President of the African Table Tennis Federation (ATTF) on Tuesday. Oshodi, a former Lagos State Sports Commissioner, was elected unopposed during the ATTF's 2024 Annual General Meeting, which took place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Oshodi succeeds Egypt’s Khaled El-Salhy, becoming the first Nigerian to hold the prestigious position. He is also the only Nigerian currently leading a continental sports organization.

Oshodi has a rich history in sports administration, having previously served as the president of the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation (NTTF). His election as the ATTF president marks a new chapter in African table tennis leadership, and it is expected that his wealth of experience will drive the sport forward across the continent.
