Real Madrid Holds Crisis Meeting Amid Kylian Mbappe Allegations of Assault

Real Madrid held an urgent crisis meeting on Monday, October 14, after their star player, Kylian Mbappe, was accused of rape and sexual harassment. The French footballer, who denies the allegations, had been visiting Sweden with friends last week, staying at the Bank Hotel in central Stockholm.

The situation escalated when the Swedish newspaper Expressen reported that Mbappe was under investigation following allegations related to an incident that allegedly took place on Thursday evening. Earlier that day, Mbappe had publicly condemned reports from Aftonbladet, calling them "fake news" and denying any involvement in such an incident.

French journalist Romain Molina confirmed that Real Madrid held a meeting on Monday evening to address the serious claims. The club has yet to release an official statement regarding Mbappe's potential involvement in their upcoming match against Celta Vigo on Saturday.

Mbappe’s representatives responded firmly, dismissing the allegations as "completely false and irresponsible." In a statement shared with AFP, they expressed their intent to take legal action, describing the accusations as part of a “methodical destruction” of the player's image.

Meanwhile, investigators and a forensic team reportedly visited the hotel where the alleged incident occurred, following reports that the woman involved had sought medical assistance at a local hospital.

The football world is now waiting for further developments as the legal proceedings unfold, and Real Madrid's response is eagerly anticipated.
