Veteran Nollywood actor, Jerry Amilo, has bid a final farewell to his daughter, Chidera Amilo, who was laid to rest after her passing on October 4, 2024. Fondly referred to as Princess, Chidera’s untimely death has left the actor and his family heartbroken.
In a heartfelt social media post on August 21, Jerry Amilo had shared the joy of reuniting with his daughter after two years of separation, as she had been living abroad before recently returning. The emotional reunion now takes on an added poignancy in light of her sudden passing.
The grieving father took to Instagram on Thursday, October 10, to share a video from Chidera’s funeral, accompanied by a sorrowful message. "Good night, My Angel. May your soul rest in perfect peace, Amen. Still staying focused," he wrote in tribute to his late daughter.
The tragic loss has drawn an outpouring of support and condolences from fans and colleagues within the Nollywood industry.
