As new sexual abuse allegations continue to surface against music mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs, a resurfaced video from 2006 has gained attention, showing former Manchester United and England footballer Wayne Rooney bidding $150,000 for a night out with the rapper.
The event took place at a World Cup charity auction organized by former footballer David Beckham in May 2006. During the star-studded evening, held at Beckham’s mansion in Hertfordshire, Rooney secured a bid to spend a weekend with Diddy in New York.
Diddy, who joined Beckham uninvited on stage, vowed to make Rooney’s time unforgettable, humorously claiming that Rooney would return to England as a "changed man." Diddy quipped, "After he comes to New York, we'll probably be cousins. It'll be a non-stop party with lots of sexy ladies." He even joked that Rooney would "wake up Wednesday, laying beside me."
The footage shows Diddy offering three auction options: a weekend at his Hamptons estate, a studio session with him, or a night out in New York. Rooney ultimately won the bid, pledging $150,000, with the stipulation that he could bring along a friend. However, according to Diddy, Rooney's wife, Coleen, reportedly intervened and stopped him from attending the night out in New York.
The video has resurfaced at a time when Diddy faces serious legal trouble. Last month, he was arrested on charges related to sex trafficking, racketeering, and the transportation of individuals for prostitution. The allegations claim that Diddy hosted parties involving illegal drugs, underage girls, hidden cameras, and sex workers.
Attorney Tony Buzbee, who is representing over 120 accusers, has indicated that several well-known figures and companies are implicated in the lawsuits, alleging their awareness and involvement in Diddy’s alleged activities.
