A woman who allegedly shot her ex-boyfriend outside the Bellaire Police Department has been apprehended in Alabama. The incident occurred early Friday morning when the ex-boyfriend and his companions sought refuge at the police station, believing they were being followed by the woman.
At approximately 2:30 AM, Bellaire police received reports of a woman in a Mercedes SUV tailing a group in a Ford truck. The individuals in the truck informed the authorities that they believed the woman was armed. Seeking safety, they drove to the police station.
As two officers arrived in marked vehicles to speak with the truck's occupants, the woman pulled up alongside the passenger side and opened fire, striking her ex-boyfriend multiple times. In response, one of the officers returned fire. The ex-boyfriend was rushed to the hospital and is currently in serious condition.
The woman was later located and arrested in Alabama. Bellaire police have indicated that further details will be provided once a warrant is issued in connection with the shooting.
