Causso Darame, a former promising footballer with Swansea City FC, has been sentenced to four years and four months in prison after being convicted of stabbing a teenager during a late-night robbery. Darame, who once held aspirations of becoming a professional footballer, left 19-year-old Ronnie Evans with life-changing injuries after the attack in May 2023.
Darame, now 25, confronted Mr. Evans in the early hours of May 12, 2023, in Hampshire, after the teenager and his friends had crossed paths with Darame outside a local chicken shop. The court heard that Darame, wielding a large Rambo knife, chased the group and threatened Mr. Evans, shouting, “I’m going to catch you, and when I catch you, I’m going to kill you.” He then stabbed Evans in the leg, narrowly missing major blood
