Nigerian music sensation Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, is set to grace the stage at the 2025 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. This will mark the Afrobeat star's first appearance at the globally renowned event.
Also flying the African flag high, veteran Nigerian musician Seun Kuti will make a return to the festival, joined by Ghanaian singer Amaarae and South Africa’s Tyla, as revealed in a digital flier released by the event organizers.
Held annually in California, USA, Coachella is celebrated as the world’s largest music and arts festival, drawing over 125,000 attendees from across the globe. It is known for its star-studded lineup and for showcasing diverse talents from various genres and regions.
Seun Kuti made history as the first Nigerian artist to perform at Coachella in 2012. Other Nigerian stars, including Mr. Eazi and Burna Boy in 2019, Ckay in 2022, and Tems earlier in 2024, have since followed in his footsteps, amplifying Afrobeat's global presence.
The inclusion of Rema, Amaarae, and Tyla further underscores the festival’s commitment to spotlighting African talent on its grand stage, as Afrobeat and African music continue to captivate audiences worldwide.
Fans are eagerly anticipating these performances, which promise to be a celebration of African artistry on one of music’s most prestigious platforms.
