Prince Harry has confirmed that he and his wife, Meghan Markle, have no intentions of returning to the United Kingdom with their children, Archie and Lilibet. Speaking at the annual DealBook Summit in New York on December 4, the Duke of Sussex, 40, expressed his deep contentment with their life in the United States.
"I very much enjoy living here and bringing up my kids here," Prince Harry said, according to The Times. He also mentioned the unique opportunities available to him and his family in the U.S., including activities with his children, Archie, five, and Lilibet, three, that he believes would not be possible in the UK.
The Duke emphasized his dedication to being "the best husband and the best dad" he can be, prioritizing family life as his core focus. As Harry spoke at the summit, Meghan sent a supportive message to attendees at a Christmas carol concert in London, wishing them a Merry Christmas "from my family to yours."
The Sussexes have called Montecito, California, home since the summer of 2020, following their decision to step away from royal duties and relocate to the U.S.
In addition to discussing family matters, Harry shared his thoughts on the issue of social media, expressing opposition to the idea of banning it for children. He argued that such a ban could lead to increased family conflict and playground bullying. However, he also called for greater transparency and accountability from social media companies.
Despite the ongoing speculation about the couple’s relationship with the British royal family, Harry's comments highlight their commitment to their life in California and their growing family.
