Salma Hayek Celebrates Daughter Valentina’s 18th Birthday in Glamorous Weekend-Long Bash

Salma Hayek was a beaming mother as she celebrated her daughter Valentina’s milestone 18th birthday in grand style. The 59-year-old actress shared photos and videos from the weekend-long celebration on Instagram, giving fans a glimpse into the festivities.

“We ate, we danced, we laughed, we loved … and we kept the party going all weekend,” Hayek wrote. “Happy birthday mi cielo [my darling], celebrating you never feels long enough.”

In the snaps, Valentina took center stage, posing between her mother and father, François-Henri Pinault, whom Hayek has been married to since February 2009. Valentina dazzled in a gray printed dress, while Hayek and Pinault coordinated in black, perfectly complementing their daughter. Later, Hayek — in a neutral dress with dramatic oversized sleeves — danced joyfully with Valentina, who wore a stunning red open-back dress. Pinault was also seen spinning Valentina around the room as guests sang “Happy Birthday,” and the couple shared tender kisses on her head.

The celebration included a lavish red cake adorned with roses, and the family posed with attendees at Chilham Castle, a luxurious estate in Canterbury, Kent, England.

The day before, Hayek paid a heartfelt tribute to her daughter on Instagram:

“My beautiful dancing queen. Today you turned 18!!!!! So many things have changed in your life, but you are always soooo you. A kind passionate heart, a wise soul full of magic, a unique unstoppable force of nature with a witty sense of humor and stubborn tenacity. Some things will never [change] we love you forever and although you were always ahead of your years you will always be in my heart my dream daughter. Feliz cumpleaños Valentina Paloma.”

Hayek also revealed that Valentina has ambitions of following in her mother’s footsteps in film, though she plans to pursue political science first. “She wants to study political science and then as a minor, film because she wants to be a director. But she doesn’t want to study to be a director; she said, ‘It’s in my blood. I want to spend the time learning something more complicated,’” Hayek shared.

Reflecting on her daughter’s aspirations, Hayek gushed, “I love it.”

Valentina’s 18th birthday celebration was not just a glamorous party—it was a testament to a proud mother honoring her daughter’s journey into adulthood and independence.
