Trump Privately Complains About Epstein Ties: “Why Are People So Fixated?”

President Donald Trump is once again in the spotlight over his past friendship with the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein — and according to a new report, he’s frustrated people won’t just let it go.

The Wall Street Journal revealed Wednesday that Trump has privately complained to aides about the renewed outrage surrounding Epstein files and his connection to the disgraced financier.

“Trump, who had socialized with Epstein in New York and Florida and has said he fell out with him before his first arrest in 2006, told aides he couldn’t understand why people were so obsessed with the deceased financier and sex offender,” the Journal reported, citing people familiar with his remarks.

One source said Trump “groused” that “people don’t understand that Palm Beach in the 90s was a different time.”

The next day, Trump reportedly began calling influential allies to figure out how to tamp down the controversy, asking: “Why is everyone so fixated on the issue? What would make it die down?”

Trump and Epstein’s history has been well documented, with multiple photos showing them together at Mar-a-Lago and other events from the late 1980s into the mid-2000s. Former Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino president Jack O’Donnell even recalled: “He frequently came down to Atlantic City, the two of them, to attend special events. In my mind, it was his best friend.”

The controversy resurfaced during Trump’s recent trip to the UK, where photos of him and Epstein were projected onto Windsor Castle — a move that reignited global scrutiny of their past relationship.
