Jeremy Renner has denied allegations made by Chinese filmmaker Yi Zhou, who claimed the Marvel actor threatened to call U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on her following a dispute.
“The allegations being made are totally inaccurate and untrue,” Renner’s representative told Page Six in a statement on Friday.
Zhou, 34, alleged on Instagram that the “Avengers” star sent her “unsolicited pornographic images” in June 2025 and that during a meeting at his Reno, Nevada, home to discuss their joint documentary Chronicles of Disney, he became intoxicated and verbally abusive.
“I had to lock myself in a room to be safe, praying he would not come into the room at night as he was really angry,” Zhou told Daily Mail.
She also claimed Renner threatened to call ICE on her after she confronted him about his behavior, describing the experience as “a story of survival against domestic aggression, porn abuse and abuse of workplace and abuse as a woman.”
Zhou shared alleged text messages between her and Renner, including one in which he appeared to reference contacting immigration authorities.
Renner, 54, has strongly denied all allegations of misconduct.
