In a major development, Samuel Ojoegwu, popularly known as Sammy West, has been released from prison and is now en route to Abuja, according to activist and publisher Omoyele Sowore.

“We are thrilled to announce that Samuel Ojoegwu, popularly known as Sammy West, has regained his freedom and has just been released from prison. He is now on his way to Abuja,” Sowore wrote.

“It’s proof that people power works and that injustice can never outlast determination,” Sowore said.
