Biafra prime minister Mr. Simon Ekpa continues to press forward with his movement, announcing on Friday that the United States Department of Justice has officially recognized the Biafra Republic Government In-Exile (BRGIE) as an entity for Biafra Independence. This development coincides with a recent offer for dialogue with the Nigerian government by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
Ekpa, the Prime Minister of BRGIE, expressed his belief that the declaration of Biafra Independence would contribute to peace in the West African region. He celebrated the US Department of Justice's approval of all paperwork, affirming the legitimacy of BRGIE.
"In a significant step forward, the United States Department of Justice has officially registered the Biafra Republic Government In Exile (BRGIE) as an entity," Ekpa announced via his official X handle, emphasizing the importance of this recognition.
