Celine Dion has opened up about her heartbreaking struggle with Stiff-Person syndrome.
In an interview with "Today" host Hoda Kotb, the Canadian singer described the condition, saying it feels like someone is trying to strangle her. She explained that the sensation of pressure on her throat has affected her voice, which she demonstrated by speaking in a high-pitched tone.
Dion shared that the symptoms began in her throat. Initially, she didn't think it was serious, but soon her hands and feet started cramping so severely that she couldn't unlock them. The muscle spasms became so intense that at one point, she even broke her ribs.
Celine revealed her diagnosis in 2022, which ultimately forced her to cancel her world tour. Her sister has also spoken about Celine's autoimmune disorder, noting that it sometimes leaves her completely immobilized.
