A Nigerian expatriate, Capt Shinz, shared an emotional experience involving a fellow Nigerian who had a significant career change after relocating to the UK. Shinz recounted nearly being brought to tears upon meeting this individual, who had previously been a top bank auditor in Nigeria but was now employed as a store security guard in the UK.
He wrote on Friday, "I realized the harsh realities of relocating when I met a fellow Nigerian at one of our TK Maxx stores, where I used to work. He was working as a store security guard, but had been one of the top auditors at Access Bank in Nigeria, according to his LinkedIn profile. I nearly cried."
