Yusuf Gagdi, a member of the House of Representatives from the APC/Plateau, has donated 400 rams and N20 million to his constituents in preparation for the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
Gagdi, who represents the Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency of Plateau, presented these items on Friday in Dengi, Kanam Local Government Area.
He explained that this gesture was intended to ensure that his constituents, especially the less privileged, could celebrate Sallah with ease.
"It has been my tradition to distribute rams, food items, and cash to my constituents during festive periods," Gagdi stated. "The goal is to assist the less privileged members of my constituency to celebrate. It is a yearly ritual I have sustained since 2015."
"This year’s celebration comes at a time when prices of foodstuffs and animals have skyrocketed, hence the need for me to intervene. The 400 rams and N20 million will assist," he added.
The lawmaker urged his constituents to use the festival as an opportunity to pray for peace in Plateau and Nigeria and assured them of his continued commitment to providing quality representation.
