The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) issued a stern warning to South-East governors on Saturday, advising against allocating lands for grazing reserves to the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN).
Emma Powerful, IPOB’s spokesman, cautioned the governors against jeopardizing the safety of the region's inhabitants.
In a statement, Powerful declared: “The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), under the leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Okwu Kanu, urge Eastern Governors to reject the recent demand from Miyetti Allah for grazing reserves in their states. No governor should compromise safety and security by covertly supporting RUGA.
“IPOB is calling on Southern and Middle Belt Governors to deny the Fulani Miyetti Allah organization’s request for grazing reserves.
“IPOB will firmly oppose any attempts at land grabbing, demographic changes, or conquest ideologies in any form. We are resolute that there will be no grazing reserves for Miyetti Allah in Biafra Land.”
