Praise Singer Dauda Rarara Loses Facebook Account Amid Controversial Song

Dauda Rarara, the popular praise singer, has had his Facebook account suspended following a wave of reports from Northerners concerning his latest song. The track, which praises President Bola Tinubu's leadership, claims that the President has effectively tackled poverty, insecurity, and hunger in Nigeria.

In the song, Rarara asserts that “Northerners have said goodbye to hunger, insecurity, and poverty,” attributing these improvements to Tinubu’s governance. The song has been met with significant backlash, with critics accusing Rarara of compromising his principles for monetary gain.

The controversy comes on the heels of a recent personal crisis for Rarara, whose mother was released by bandits in Katsina State shortly before the song’s release. The timing of the song has also coincided with mounting public discontent and planned protests by youths over economic hardships.

Rarara's praise of Tinubu has sparked debate, with many questioning the accuracy of the claims made in the song and expressing dismay over what they perceive as an unrealistic portrayal of the current socio-economic situation.
