Big Brother Naija star Seyi Awolowo opened up about the challenges he faced while growing up in a recent interview with Chude Jideonwo, a well-known media personality. Seyi recounted the hardships of his upbringing in a polygamous household, revealing that his father, a grandson of the late Obafemi Awolowo, disowned him multiple times.
He described how his father maintained detailed records for each child in the family and issued letters severing ties with them. Seyi shared, "My father disowned me several times, along with several of my siblings, because he had three wives." He explained how these letters reduced them to mere names on a list, emphasizing, "Right now, your name is just Seyi, period."
