President Bola Tinubu has appealed to Nigerians, particularly the youth planning a national protest over the high cost of living, to reconsider their planned demonstration, emphasizing that there is no need for such action.
In a statement conveyed by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, after a meeting with the President at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Tinubu assured the public that he has heard their concerns and is actively working to address them.
Idris explained that during their meeting, discussions focused on general national issues, with President Tinubu stressing his commitment to improving the country’s economic situation.
“The President has asked me to communicate to Nigerians, especially the young people considering a protest, that he is listening to their grievances and is taking them seriously,” Idris said. “He is diligently working to ensure the country’s future is secured and prosperous.”
