Primate Elijah Babatunde Ayodele, the founder of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church in Lagos, criticized the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), attributing them to contributing to the country's challenges. Speaking during the 30th anniversary of his prophetic ministry and the launch of the 30th Edition of his “Warnings to the Nations” in Lagos, he expressed disappointment in these organizations.
"These so-called pastors have played a role in the problems facing our country," Ayodele stated. "They preach prosperity abroad while many of their members suffer in hunger and poverty. They shy away from confronting spiritual challenges like witchcraft, turning prophecy into a form of entertainment."
Ayodele went on to distance himself from CAN and PFN, describing them as more focused on financial gain than spiritual guidance. "I do not align with CAN and PFN because they lack spiritual depth. They prioritize money and shy away from speaking the truth when necessary," he remarked.
Reflecting on the early days of his ministry, Ayodele recalled the initial rejection he faced from other pastors and churches. "Initially, we were shunned, but through God's grace and our accurate predictions, we have gained recognition and met with presidents and prominent figures worldwide," he added.
When asked about his philanthropic activities, Ayodele emphasized his joy in helping others and bringing happiness to people's lives.
Regarding the debate on establishing state police in Nigeria, Ayodele expressed reservations, suggesting it could exacerbate the country's security challenges rather than alleviate them.
Ayodele also took the opportunity to praise his mentor, Primate Theophilus Oluwasanu Olabayo, founder of the Evangelical Church Of Yahweh, whom he described as a significant figure in the spiritual realm and a blessing to humanity.
