Former Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, responded to the recent assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, emphasizing her condemnation of political violence and expressing gratitude for his safety.
Pelosi, known for her role in opposing Trump's 2016 presidential campaign, spoke out following reports of the attempt on Trump's life during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
“As someone whose family has tragically experienced political violence, I understand firsthand that any form of political violence is utterly unacceptable in our society. I am thankful that former President Trump escaped harm,” Pelosi stated on X (formerly Twitter).
“As we await further information on this distressing incident, let us pray for the safety of all those present at the rally today,” she added.
