Richard Akinnola has stepped in to defend Dele Momodu after a recent clash with Joe Igbokwe over criticism of President Bola Tinubu.
Joe Igbokwe had criticized Momodu, questioning his credibility to discuss economic policies due to his background in Yoruba language studies and his role as publisher of a now-defunct magazine. Igbokwe implied that Momodu, given his past, lacked the qualifications to comment on national issues.
In response, Akinnola countered Igbokwe's remarks, highlighting that Igbokwe, who has never employed anyone, is unqualified to disparage Momodu. Akinnola accused Igbokwe of lacking substantial means of livelihood and being merely a political attack dog.
Momodu shared Akinnola's defense on Instagram, commenting, "Is there no one who can rescue this old man from servitude? Such a pity..." This exchange reflects ongoing tensions and public disagreements among prominent Nigerian figures.
