A chilling video capturing a violent attack inside a London taxi has gone viral on X (formerly Twitter), showing machete-wielding assailants targeting a passenger while the driver desperately tries to escape the scene.
The harrowing incident occurred on Spencer Road in Rainham around 5 a.m. on June 23, as reported by the UK Metropolitan Police. The video begins with three men inside the taxi before the attack unfolds. Initially, the assailants had exited the vehicle, but one of them, wearing a cap, returned to the back seat moments later.
In a shocking turn of events, an attacker dressed in a black hoodie and red face mask used a hammer to smash the rear window of the taxi. The sudden violence startled the passenger, who responded by drawing a knife to defend himself. The situation quickly escalated as another attacker began assaulting him from the opposite side of the car with a knife.
Faced with the brutal attack, the terrified driver immediately sped away from the location. The injured passenger, bleeding from multiple wounds, pleaded with the driver to "drive fast" and threw a wad of cash at him, promising to cover any damage to the vehicle.
The video captures the frantic scene as the driver races away from the assailants, highlighting the intense and dangerous situation faced by both the driver and the passenger. The Metropolitan Police are investigating the incident as part of their ongoing efforts to address violent crime in the area.
