Breaking News: Trump’s Controversial Remarks on Cocaine and Addiction in Theo Von Podcast Interview

In a candid interview on Theo Von's podcast, "This Past Weekend," former President Donald Trump delved into topics of addiction and recovery, engaging in an open dialogue about his personal stance on substance use and his family's history with addiction. The latest episode, recorded at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster in New Jersey, aired on Tuesday.

During the discussion, Trump was questioned by Von about his abstention from drugs, alcohol, and smoking. Trump, who revealed he has never used these substances, attributed his stance to the struggles faced by his late brother, Fred Trump Jr., who battled alcoholism. "I tell people, no drugs, no drinking, no cigarettes," Trump said, emphasizing his advice to his own children.

The conversation took a personal turn when Von, who is in recovery from drug and alcohol use, described his past experiences with cocaine. Trump inquired about the effects of cocaine compared to alcohol, prompting a vivid analogy from Von. Trump also sought Von's perspective on which substance poses a greater issue in the U.S., with Von identifying opioids as a more pressing problem.

The episode, which also touched on a range of topics including Trump’s views on President Joe Biden and the 2024 presidential race, showcased a thoughtful exchange between the former president and the comedian.
