In a recent social media post, Joe Igbokwe, a prominent APC chieftain, expressed his dismay over the ongoing feud between the music duo PSquare—Peter and Paul Okoye. Igbokwe's comments come in the wake of reports that Paul Okoye has been summoned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for questioning following allegations of fraud made by his twin brother Peter.
Igbokwe's post reflects frustration and disappointment over the public spat, questioning the lack of resolution despite the involvement of family members. He highlighted the absence of intervention from elders in the Okoye family and expressed dismay that neither the brothers' spouses nor their family members have been able to mend the rift.
“It is so shameful that two twin brothers, Paul and Peter, cannot work together, cannot love one another, cannot trust each other, cannot think together, cannot reason together, cannot forgive each other,” Igbokwe wrote. He further lamented, “It pains me to no end. Now, are there no elders in the family? This is success without brains. Education without character.”
The brothers, who initially broke up in 2017 over internal disputes and accusations, had reconciled in 2021 with hopes of reviving their music career. However, their renewed peace was short-lived, and they have once again found themselves at odds.
The ongoing conflict, exacerbated by recent legal troubles, has captivated public attention and sparked widespread commentary. Igbokwe's intervention adds a political dimension to the saga, underlining the broader impact of personal disputes on public figures.
As the situation continues to unfold, many are watching closely to see if a resolution can be reached, and if the intervention of family elders or external mediators might bring an end to the discord that has plagued the celebrated duo.
