Mrs. Bolanle Ogunlola, Deputy Director of Public Affairs at the Lagos State Ministry of Transportation, has announced that the Traffic Monitoring and Investigation Unit has seized 57 commercial vehicles and tricycles for traffic violations.
In a statement released on Friday, Ogunlola revealed that the vehicles were confiscated during a thorough enforcement operation conducted around the Iyana Ipaja garage and its surrounding roads. The operation targeted both inbound and outbound traffic.
Ogunlola explained that the seized vehicles and tricycles were found in violation of traffic regulations, including illegal parking and picking up passengers at non-designated areas, which contributed to traffic congestion.
“This enforcement action successfully addressed the traffic disruptions caused by these violations, clearing congestion and enhancing compliance with traffic laws,” she said.
