Mohbad's Wife, Wunmi, Defends Late Husband's Legacy Amidst Controversy

Wunmi, the widow of the late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has issued a heartfelt statement defending her husband's reputation and addressing the ongoing controversy surrounding his death.

In an emotional social media post, Wunmi expressed profound gratitude to those who have supported her during what she describes as a "difficult time, filled with false accusations from various quarters, including family, friends, and strangers."

Wunmi acknowledged the emotional pain she is enduring as part of her journey but emphasized her decision not to engage in public debates or counter the falsehoods being spread about her on social media. Instead, she has chosen to focus on defending her truth in the court of law.

However, Wunmi stressed the importance of speaking up on behalf of her late husband, Ilerioluwa, known to many as Mohbad, who is no longer here to defend himself. She implored all true supporters of Mohbad, as well as her friends and their child, Liam, to refrain from speaking ill of her husband.

"I beg you, with all that you hold dear, not to tarnish his memory. Disrespecting Ilerioluwa in his death is showing disdain for his entire family. Anyone who truly loved him would never speak badly of him," Wunmi stated.

She made it clear that she does not endorse or condone any negative remarks made about Ilerioluwa, insisting that her husband was, and always will be, known as a good man. Wunmi urged the public to remember Mohbad positively and to honor his memory by refraining from defaming his character.

In closing, Wunmi thanked her supporters for their continued support during this challenging time.
