Nigerian Defence Academy Announces Road Closure for Training Exercise

The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has announced a temporary road closure and traffic diversion in the Rigachikun-Kawo-Mando area of Kaduna. The closure will take effect on Friday, August 30, 2024, from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

According to Major Mohammed Maiwada, the NDA's Public Relations Officer, the affected stretch will cover the area from the Nigerian Army Command Engineering Depot at the Nigerian-Turkish International School Junction, extending through Rigachikun-Kawo Fly Over-Mando-Afaka.

The road closure is required to facilitate the "Endurance Run," an essential training exercise for first-term Army, Navy, and Air Force cadets participating in the NDA's annual “Exercise Camp Initial” program.

Motorists are advised to plan their routes accordingly and seek alternative paths during the closure period. Major Maiwada extended apologies for any inconvenience caused and requested the public’s cooperation and understanding.
