Boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya has found himself at the center of a social media storm after posting a provocative video featuring himself and his partner, Holly Sonders, on Instagram.

Sonders is dressed in underwear as the pair move to the Spanish-language track "Loca People" by Sak Noel. The video was characterized by Spanish outlet Marca as a "sexual boogie."

The clip quickly went viral, sparking widespread controversy and criticism. Numerous users reported the video, leading to its removal by Instagram. The incident has ignited a debate online about the appropriateness of the content and De La Hoya's public image."I just got banned. My last post was really funny and the haters reported it. They hate to see me happy," De La Hoya said in response to the incident.

Holly Sonders also took to social media to address the video's removal, echoing De La Hoya's sentiments. "We both posted a funny video an hour ago, and it got taken down on both our accounts due to lames reporting it," Sonders shared on her Instagram Story. She noted that the video had garnered 6,000 comments within 30 minutes before being removed.

In a follow-up post, Sonders criticized Instagram's strict content guidelines, stating, "IG takes down all my content that isn't covered head to toe... so here you go. I'll play within their guidelines for a day." She teased their followers by promising more content soon, adding, "If you're one of the salty ones, rest assured that we'll be back with more thong vids this week 'cuz we are staying in Mexicoooo. ALWAYS HAVE FUN, FRIENDS."

Sonders concluded with another video thanking their audience for making their previous clip "one of the most viewed of 2024" and inviting fans to send ideas for their next post, hinting that De La Hoya already has some in mind.
