A prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe, has openly shared how the current economic challenges have impacted his lifestyle. In a post on Saturday, September 21, Igbokwe revealed that he has stopped driving his car and drastically reduced his electricity usage to cope with the rising cost of living.
The APC chieftain explained that he no longer travels frequently and has turned off 70% of the electrical appliances in his home to cut down on expenses. “I have removed my car from the road. I don’t go everywhere anymore. At home, we have switched off 70% of our electricity to survive. Life is a teacher," he shared in the post.
Igbokwe acknowledged that he is adjusting to the new economic reality, adding that he refuses to deceive himself about the situation. His candid revelation highlights the effects of economic hardship, even on prominent political figures, as Nigerians continue to grapple with the rising cost of living.
