Cassie Still Struggling After Alleged Abuse in Relationship with Diddy

Singer Cassie, 38, is reportedly still dealing with the emotional aftermath of her past relationship with music mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs. Sources reveal that she is "triggered" by recent allegations and the public attention surrounding her abusive experiences. In November, Cassie, whose full name is Casandra Ventura, filed a lawsuit accusing Diddy of physical and sexual abuse during their 10-year relationship. The case was settled just one day later.

In March, disturbing surveillance footage surfaced showing Diddy violently attacking Cassie in 2016 at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles. In the video, Diddy, wearing only a towel, is seen chasing her down a hallway, grabbing her by the head, and slamming her to the ground.

Ten months after the case settlement, Diddy was indicted by New York prosecutors on charges including sex trafficking and racketeering. His arrest followed FBI raids at his homes in Los Angeles and Miami, where authorities found over 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant allegedly linked to his notorious "freak offs" sex parties.

Despite her lawsuit prompting other alleged victims to come forward, Cassie has refrained from making public statements. A source told DailyMail.com that she is still managing the emotional toll and focusing on her healing. "Cassie is taking time away to focus on her peace because the details of the case are triggering," the source said.

Cassie was in a relationship with Diddy from 2007 to 2018. Friends close to her say that although she is relieved that the case against Diddy has progressed, she is not celebrating. "She is upset that people didn’t listen to other alleged victims in the 90s because she would have been spared," an insider shared.

Cassie has been focusing on her family and well-being, having married fitness trainer Alex Fine in 2019. The couple shares two daughters, Sunny and Frankie. The insider also revealed that Cassie and her husband have been undergoing therapy together to manage the stress from the lawsuit and protect their relationship.

Despite her ongoing struggles, Cassie was seen smiling and laughing in New York City shortly after Diddy's arrest, suggesting that she is taking steps toward recovery.
