Nigerian forward Chidera Ejuke netted his first LaLiga goal in Sevilla’s 2-1 victory over Real Valladolid at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium on Tuesday night.
The match marked Sevilla’s second win in the Spanish top division this season.
Ejuke, who began the game on the bench, was introduced in the 61st minute, replacing Jesus Navas. Sevilla had taken the lead through Gerard Peque just before halftime, but Valladolid's Kike Perez equalized in the 56th minute.
With five minutes remaining, Ejuke scored the decisive goal, securing the victory for his team. Fellow Nigerian Kelechi Iheanacho also started the game for Sevilla but was substituted in the 62nd minute for Suso.
The win lifted Sevilla to 12th place in the LaLiga standings.
