Dawn Richard, a member of Danity Kane, has filed a lawsuit against Sean "Diddy" Combs, accusing him of manipulation, abuse, and sexual misconduct during their professional relationship. The lawsuit, obtained on September 11, includes shocking claims about Diddy's behavior toward Richard and others.
Richard, 41, alleges that while working with Diddy on the MTV show Making the Band in 2004, he promised to boost her career in exchange for compliance with his demands. She also claims to have witnessed Diddy physically abusing his ex-girlfriend, Cassie.
According to the court documents, Diddy forced Richard to endure extreme conditions, such as rehearsing for up to 48 hours without sleep, which led to severe fatigue and rashes. She also alleges that during a visit to his Miami home, Diddy appeared in nothing but underwear and refused to dress after she requested him to do so, reportedly yelling, "This is my f—ing house!" Richard also accuses him of inappropriately touching her and once locking her in a car for two hours while she screamed for help.
The lawsuit includes more disturbing allegations, with Richard recalling instances of Diddy physically harming others. She claims she saw him throw Cassie against a wall and choke her in his Los Angeles home in a separate incident. Richard, along with fellow Danity Kane member Kalenna Harper, reportedly tried to persuade Cassie to leave the relationship, which Diddy later found out about.
This lawsuit brings to light years of alleged mistreatment and abuse, with Richard standing firm in her accusations against the music mogul. Neither Diddy nor his legal team has publicly responded to the lawsuit as of now.
