Elon Musk has firmly denied rumors of an affair with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni after photos of the two at a recent event sparked speculation online. The images, taken at the Global Citizen Awards in New York City on Monday, showed Musk and Meloni sharing a moment as Musk presented her with the award.
Social media users quickly commented on their interaction, with one person posting, "Find someone who looks at you the way the Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni looks at Elon Musk," accompanied by a photo of Musk resting his hand on Meloni's shoulder. Another user quipped, "You can't have mELONi without ELON."
In response to the buzz, Musk took to X (formerly Twitter) to clarify the situation, stating, "I was there with my Mom. There is no romantic relationship whatsoever with PM Meloni." His comment was in reply to a post that humorously implied something more had happened after the two were photographed looking at each other during the black-tie event.
