The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced plans to investigate any confirmed irregularities related to alleged discrepancies in polling unit result sheets during the ongoing Edo State governorship election.
In a statement shared on its official social media platform, INEC acknowledged receiving its second complaint about incorrect figures being recorded in result sheets from polling units. The election involves 4,519 polling units across the state.
INEC assured the public that it takes these allegations seriously and has committed to launching an immediate investigation into the claims. The commission also promised to address any confirmed violations appropriately.
