Peter Obi's Media Adviser Denies Arrest Rumors

Val Obienyem, Media Adviser to Peter Obi, the Labour Party's presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, has dismissed recent rumors claiming that Obi was arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS) at his home in Anambra State.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Obienyem called the reports "false and baseless." He clarified that Obi was not in Anambra State during the alleged incident.

Obienyem stated that as of Saturday, Obi was in Rwanda for important engagements and has since returned to Nigeria, currently in Edo State for party and national activities. He emphasized that there was no DSS operation at Obi's residence, and no arrest took place.
