Rapper DaBaby Settles Assault Lawsuit, Avoids Jail Time

Rapper DaBaby has avoided jail time after reaching a settlement in a civil lawsuit connected to an alleged assault during a 2020 music video shoot.

The incident occurred at a California property owned by Gary Pagar, who claimed that DaBaby attacked him during the filming of Stunna 4 Vegas' "Play You Lay" music video. Pagar alleged that he was punched in the face during a dispute, resulting in the loss of a tooth.

According to court documents filed on September 27, both DaBaby, a Diamond-selling artist, and Pagar have agreed to a global settlement to resolve the matter. The settlement allows both parties to cancel any upcoming court dates, signaling the case is close to being officially closed.

Following the settlement, DaBaby seems to be moving forward, having recently dropped his new project, How TF Is This A Mixtape?, showcasing that he's eager to put the legal trouble behind him.
