Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, has returned to Abuja after representing President Bola Tinubu at the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York. His return was confirmed in a statement by his spokesperson, Stanley Nkwocha, on Sunday.
During his time in New York, Vice President Shettima delivered Nigeria’s National Statement during the General Debate and participated in various bilateral meetings, as well as sideline events associated with the General Assembly.
According to the statement, the Vice President will now join President Tinubu in marking several events organized to celebrate Nigeria’s 64th Independence Anniversary.
