VIDEO: Portable Blames Fela Kuti for His Early Death in Controversial Podcast

Nigerian singer Portable has stirred controversy by blaming the late Afrobeats legend Fela Anikulapo-Kuti for his own premature death.

In a recent podcast with media personality Quincy Jonze on the "Echoo Room," Portable claimed that Fela's early demise was due to his refusal to stay out of others' business. Portable's comments have sparked significant discussion on social media.

During the interview, Portable argued that Fela's activism, which involved fighting for Nigerians' rights, may have contributed to his early death. “According to what we were told, if Fela had minded his business a little he would have lived longer. But he was busy fighting for Nigerians who did not fight for themselves,” Portable said.

In addition to his remarks about Fela, Portable addressed his recent online clash with rapper Zlatan Ibile. He accused Zlatan of being the “devil” behind the issues between him and singer Davido, suggesting that their disagreement only started after Zlatan's involvement.

The interview has quickly gained traction online, drawing mixed reactions from fans and critics alike.
