BBNaija Season 9 Winner, Kellyrae, Claims He Gave Wife N55 Million from Prize Money, but She Disagrees

 

Big Brother Naija Season 9 winner, Kellyrae, has stirred controversy by claiming that he gave his wife, Kassia, N55 million from the N60 million cash prize he won on the show.

Kellyrae, who also won a car valued at N40 million, emerged victorious on Sunday. He and Kassia initially entered the house as a pair, known as DoubleKay, before Biggie separated the housemates, forcing them to compete individually.

After the unpairing, their management decided to focus on Kellyrae’s progress in the competition over Kassia’s. This decision was communicated to DoubleKay fans, especially after Kellyrae expressed his desire to win the N100 million grand prize.

During an Instagram live session with Kassia on Tuesday, Kellyrae claimed that he had already transferred N55 million to his wife. "The prize money is N60 million, I’ve sent Kassia N55 million already to take care of herself," he said.

However, Kassia immediately denied the claim, questioning her husband. “To which account [did you send the money]? Why are you lying? You’re lying to your fans after they voted for you,” she responded.

Kellyrae tried to brush off the disagreement, attributing the confusion to a poor network connection, adding, "It’s bad network. They [my fans] will not drag me."
