Borussia Dortmund Secures Dominant 7-1 Win Over Celtic in Champions League Clash

Borussia Dortmund delivered an impressive performance at Signal Iduna Park, achieving a resounding 7-1 victory against Celtic, highlighted by a first-half hat-trick from Karim Adeyemi. This win further solidifies Dortmund’s remarkable unbeaten streak at home in the UEFA Champions League, now extended to 12 matches.

The match got off to a dramatic start when Dortmund was awarded a penalty in the 5th minute after Celtic goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel brought down Jamie Bynoe-Gittens. Emre Can confidently converted the penalty, putting Dortmund ahead early. However, Celtic responded quickly, with Daizen Maeda capitalizing on a lapse in concentration from Can to equalize shortly after.

Dortmund regained the lead through Adeyemi, whose shot deflected into the net. He then doubled his tally with a powerful strike from the edge of the box, showcasing his skill and composure. The home side continued to dominate, and Celtic's misfortunes grew when they conceded another penalty, allowing Serhou Guirassy to score and extend Dortmund's advantage.

Adeyemi completed his hat-trick with a well-placed low drive from outside the box, further cementing his status as a key player in the match. Although he was substituted due to injury shortly after, Dortmund maintained their momentum. Guirassy added his second goal in the 66th minute, and Felix Nmecha capped off the scoring with the seventh goal in the 79th minute.

This defeat marks one of Celtic's joint-second heaviest losses in Champions League history, as Dortmund's relentless attack proved too much for the Scottish side to handle.
