Comedian Kevin Hart appeared to distance himself from music mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs when questioned about his connection to the embattled rapper. Hart, 45, was approached by reporters while heading to dinner with his wife, Eniko Hart, at LAVO restaurant in West Hollywood last week.
When asked about his involvement in hosting parties for Combs, Hart swiftly denied any association, responding, "When I hosted for Diddy? You're asking the wrong person the wrong question." The comedian further avoided questions regarding Combs' safety in jail, repeating, "Wrong person, wrong question," before walking away with his wife and bodyguard.
Combs, 54, is currently in custody awaiting trial after being arrested in New York on September 16 on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. According to a federal indictment, Combs has been accused of abusing, threatening, and coercing victims since 2008 to satisfy his sexual desires and conceal his actions.
During raids on Combs' Los Angeles and Miami homes, prosecutors uncovered evidence of his infamous drug-fueled parties, referred to as "freak offs." Investigators recovered electronic devices containing images and videos of these events, along with unmarked AR-15s, ammunition, and over 1,000 bottles of baby oil and other lubricants.
Combs' legal troubles have led to widespread scrutiny, with many former associates distancing themselves from the disgraced music icon.
